I just wanted to take a moment to thank Steven Schwartz, D.O. for the knowledge I was able to obtain at his August 2010 workshop in Ocala, FL.  I am the owner of Natural Balance Equine Dentistry of Ocala.  As a Professional in the horse world I believe it is a necessity to gain knowledge to help support my clients and their horses in performing to their highest potential.  As a Natural Balance Dentist, I Equilibrate the Occlusial surface of the teeth to restore balanced motion to the jaw and properly support the TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular Joint).  I  utilize the relaxation methods on many of my clients horses.  I check motion of the Mandible (Jaw) before, during and after working on a horse to assess areas of adjustment . However, before I attended this workshop I was unfamiliar with how to feel Muscular Structures, how to recognize problems in them, and how to address them. I have found that this helps to maintain Balanced Motion in the jaw and proper Dental Wear.

Hi Stephen,

RE the treatment you gave to my mare in May, I am super pleased with all that you did for her. She has had right shoulder issues in the past and I just had her checked by a Horse Chiropractor the other day and he said she was in great shape, flexible in her joints, muscles moving well, with ease.
